iBoard Privacy Policy

iBoard is a Khmer keyboard developed by Phanith Ny. This policy applies to iBoard for Android (package com.phanithny.iboard) and iOS/iPadOS (bundle com.phanithny.iBoard). Platform differences are explained below.

Your typing

iBoard processes typing and word suggestions on your device. We do not receive your keystrokes, typed messages, personal vocabulary, word-selection statistics, or recent emoji through the keyboard. Other apps receive the text you choose to enter into them and handle it under their own privacy policies.

Android: Learned words, suggestion history, statistics, preferences, and recent emoji are stored locally. Android cloud backup and device transfer of this app data are disabled. The keyboard does not initialize the purchase SDK or send typed content to RevenueCat or Kedi. Suggestions and learning are disabled in password fields and editors that request no personalized learning.

iOS/iPadOS: Keyboard data is stored on your device. Any synchronization through Apple's iCloud services is handled by Apple and is not accessible to us. Apple handles that data under its own privacy policy.

Purchases and purchase notifications

The host app uses the platform's store billing service (Google Play or Apple's App Store) and RevenueCat to offer theme purchases, verify ownership, restore purchases, and handle changes such as refunds. These services process purchase and transaction information, product identifiers, an app user identifier, and technical information needed to operate the purchase service. In iBoard, the RevenueCat app user identifier is anonymous; we do not set subscriber name, email, or phone attributes. Network requests also expose connection information such as an IP address to the receiving service. Purchase information is used for app functionality and purchase analytics.

RevenueCat forwards purchase events to Kedi, the developer's purchase-monitoring and notification service. This sharing supports purchase analytics and notifications to the developer. Events can include product and transaction details and anonymous purchase-service identifiers. Kedi does not receive keyboard text from iBoard.

The Android app disables RevenueCat's automatic collection of advertising and other optional device identifiers. Payment details are handled by the platform store; iBoard does not receive your payment-card details.

Accounts, advertising, and permissions

Core typing does not require an iBoard account. iBoard has no advertising placements. You must enable and select the keyboard in your device settings before using it in other apps. Android permissions include internet access for host-app purchase features and vibration for optional key feedback.

Diagnostics and support

On iOS/iPadOS, Apple's opt-in crash-reporting service may provide device, operating-system, crash-date, and diagnostic information to help us investigate failures. We do not receive your typed keyboard content through crash reporting. The Android app does not include a third-party crash-reporting SDK.

If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and description of a problem, and use it to respond. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive typed text.

Storage and your choices

You can disable iBoard or select another keyboard in device settings. On Android, clearing iBoard's app storage or uninstalling it removes its local learning, history, statistics, and preferences. On Apple devices, device and iCloud settings control local and synchronized app data.

Removing local app data does not delete store transaction records or cancel purchases. Google, Apple, RevenueCat, and purchase-notification services may retain records under their own policies and applicable billing, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping requirements. Children

The Android app is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older. We do not request personal information through the keyboard or require an iBoard login. Purchases use the platform store and its account and family controls.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app's data practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest update.
